Hillcrest is dedicated to the spiritual growth of every child.
From the moment they enter pre-school, we help each student in building the foundation of a strong Christian faith.
Our Core Values
Spiritual
Hillcrest Christian Academy teaches that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and helps students to cultivate a desire to know and obey the will of God as revealed in Scripture. Our hope and desire is to lead students into an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, and to build up within them a spirit of Christ-likeness.
To these ends, we strive to develop within each student Biblical character traits and attitudes about their lives within and outside of the school, including: overcoming sin, using material possessions for the glory of God, interacting with an increasingly humanist society, and making the spiritual disciplines of prayer, Bible study and church involvement a central part of their lives.
We also teach students the importance of America’s heritage of responsible freedom, human dignity, and acceptance of authority, as well the high value they should place on life as a gift from God.
Academic
Hillcrest Christian Academy promotes high academic standards for every student, emphasizing good study habits, independent as well as cooperative work, development of each student’s personal expression through the fine arts, and an academic environment of learning through mutual acceptance, affirmation, and encouragement. Every subject has at its center an appreciation for God’s natural laws, and His creation in all its forms.
Physical
Hillcrest Christian Academy promotes physical fitness and good health habits. Athletics programs stress Christ-like character qualities and good sportsmanship. The school dress code encourages modesty as a visual model of a wholesome Christian lifestyle.
Social
Hillcrest Christian Academy expects and teaches all students to treat each other with love and respect as brothers and sisters in Christ. All social behavior is gauged against the Word of God, and emphasis is placed on how students can become reflections of Christ in their behavior, responsible citizens in the world, and adults with strong Biblical ethics within their marriages, their homes, their jobs, and their communities.
The kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.
